 We've got a big one this time! 2 larger conventions, back to back!
First off is AnimeFest in Dallas, Texas. This four day convention will be over Labor Day weekend at the Hyatt Regency Dallas, near downtown Dallas. We are very happy to be attending AnimeFest once again. The weekend after is Denver's largest anime event, Nan Desu Kan . Once again, it will be at the Marriott Denver Tech Center. And once again, we will be not only be doing a few panels on top of being vendors in the dealer's room. We are definitely geared up for doing our home down con. Because of the closeness of these 2 conventions, we will not be open from Thursday, September 3rd through Monday, September 14th. We'll be back open regular hours on Tuesday. |

 Miyazaki's latest hit film, Ponyo , is being released next weekend, August 14th in theaters around the country. Keep an eye open for showtimes near you, but one confirmed local theater is the Chez Artiste Theatre
Also in theaters is Evangelion 1.0: You are not Alone . It is going to run from August 14th-20th at the Starz Film Center . Unfortunately, we will be out of town for these two premieres. Instead we will be attending Anime Iowa from August 14th-16th in Coralville, IA. As such, we will be closed from Thursday, August 13th - Monday, August 17th. We will be back open on Tuesday. |

As you can see by the convention calendar to the right, we will be attending SWACE, the South West Animation Conference and Expo , in Albuquerque, New Mexico. As such, we will be closed from Thursday, July 30th, through Monday, August 3rd. We will return to normal hours on Tuesday, August 4th. And a big "Thank You" to Justin Lopez for the fan art he submitted.  |

 We will be closed on July 4th as usual to celebrate Independance Day. Our hours will be normal for both the 3rd and the 5th. So enjoy your fireworks and grilled hamburgers!
Next weekend, we will be attending Anime Festival Witchita . We will be closed July 9-13th. |

It's time again for coid somen, shaved ice and taiko drums in downtown Denver. This year's Colorado Cherry Blossom Festival will be this Saturday and Sunday at Sakura Square, between 19th & 20th on Lawrence. And we will once again be one of the vendors there. So stop by and say 'hi'. The shop will be closed this weekend and Denver Anime International will not be holding their monthly meeting because it's staff will be at the festival. |
